Join us for an educational and informative evening with Mara Briere, Certified Family Life Educator, for ideas for Surviving the Holidays for family members and their loved ones who are affected by mental health conditions.

Holidays and celebrations, when combined with the stresses of coping with serious mental health issues, can become overwhelming and uncomfortable. Come to this event to learn strategies and planning ideas that can make the season more enjoyable for all.

Our Guest Speaker will be:

Mara Briere, founder of Grow a Strong Family (www.growastrongfamily.org).
Mara has personal experience with the challenges of coping with life events when faced with caring for a loved one dealing with mental health issues. Grow a Strong Family fills a gap in support resources for family members and individuals facing similar challenges. Mara’s educational background includes, a BA in Philosophy & Sociology from Queens College New York, a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from UMass Boston, and an MA in Family Life Education from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN.
